Dongan Market was originally built in 1903; it has existed for 105 years. Due to its good location and convenient transportation, more and more stores are opened there. Only for couple of years, the market has grown from open-air into a supermarket that sells everything. It is also known that another reason for its thriving is the nearby Propitious Theater. The theater drew a lot of people, and when they done watching the opera, they will go to the market to treat themselves. Now this market has been changed to Dongan Market Building, which also combines shopping, entertaining, dining altogether.
