Yinshan Tower Forest Scenic Area is the Buddhist sacred land in the Liao and Jin Dynasties. Yinshan refers to the mountain which is formed of black granite. In winter, white snow covered the mountain, turned it to silver color. 

There are three main peaks in the scenic area, among which the middle one is the highest, with altitude of more than 700 meters.

The tower forest is the famous scene of this area. These towers have more than 600 years’ history. Some are big ; some are small, regulated in layout, and uniform in structure. Due to their remote location, they are luckily weathered the turbulent years, and well-preserved.
