Fragment Hill is on the west of Beijing, the park takes an area of 160 hectares, the peak latitude is of 577 meters above sea level, and is a very famous park in Beijing.

The Emperor of the Jin Dynasty first built Dayongan Temple here in 1186. Through the expansion in the successive dynasties, till the 10th year of Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, it has the recent scale. The main scenic spots are Guijianchou, Yuhua Mountain Villa, Shuangqing Villa etc. Pavilions and villas are like stars dotted around the mountain. There is Biyun Temple, which is key cultural heritage site under state protection, Shuanqing Villa where Chairman Mao has been lived and worked, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall to cherish the memory of great people, Five Hundred Arhats, the only existing gild wooden arhat in China and so on.

Fragment Hill is famous for its red leaves. Common smoketrees are over the mountain, every year in autumn, their leaves turn red and just like the flaming fire. “High mountains, crystal-clear streams, ancient trees and red leaves” are the special resources of Fragment Hill, and it draws numerous people every year.
